Lindsay, Lindsay, Lindsay. We’ve mostly seen you lately in courtrooms and splashed across the pages of TMZ but where we REALLY like to see you is in reruns on our Satellite DISH TV. If you’ve been straining to remember when Lindsay was great, check out one of her past works for a reminder:
Georgia Rule – In her first mostly-dramatic role, Lindsay plays an abuse victim turned bad-teen in Georgia Rule. On the set was where many of her personal issues began but it still holds true as one of her best performances to date.
Herbie Fully Loaded – It’s just a voiceover but man, when’s the last time you heard a teenager with such a smoky voice!? Lindsay even sings on the soundtrack to the film and she’s surprisingly good!
The Parent Trap – No “Lindsay Lohan’s Greatest Hits” list would be complete without the role that made her famous. Not one but TWO Lindsays graced the screen in all her red-headed glory to put forth one of the best performances by a child actor we’ve seen in a generation. Plus, lots of slapstick.

Lohan’s Drama With The Press: Finding A Way Out

Lindsay Lohan has been in the watchful eye of the media for several years now, forcing her fans and everyone else to watch her fall from grace. There has been a lot of question about whether or not she is capable of returning to the limelight that she once enjoyed as a younger actress. The truth is that multiple court appearances, problems with drugs and many other things have contributed to the star’s downward spiral. If one thing is for sure, Lindsay Lohan needs to clean her act up quite a lot if her fans would like to enjoy seeing her become the superstar that she once was.

If Lindsay Lohan can simply clean her act up and stay out of court, that will go a long way in helping her to regain her image. She should also put her best foot forward when making media appearances and do what it takes to keep all negative aspects of her life out of the news. By turning herself into a role model for others, she will force the media to regard her as a beacon of light in the entertainment industry.

If she fails to use caution and begin acting responsibly, it might be over for her.

Lindsay Lohan: A Mess But A Talented One

Lindsay Lohan is often mentioned in any discussion of young celebrities who have run into trouble with the law or drugs and alcohol. What sets Ms. Lohan apart from the other troubled young women that she is often compared with is the undeniable level of talent she has displayed. From a very early age it was clear that Lindsay was a talented actress who also had a star quality that leapt off the screen.

At the age of 11 Lindsay starred in a remake of The Parent Trap. Her portrayal of twins that are separated at a young age and raised apart from each other by their divorced parents won over fans young and old. Her stardom was cemented a few years later in another Disney remake; Freaky Friday. The combined comedic talents of Ms. Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis turned this film into a blockbuster success.

The young actress followed up this success with highly regarded performances in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Mean Girls and Herbie: Fully Loaded. Additional during this period the actress showed off her musical talent with a platinum selling album named Speak. Lindsay wrote quite a few of the songs and the critics favorably compared her to Avril Lavigne.

Unfortunately this highly productive period was followed by the beginning of the bad publicity and personal issues that have haunted Lindsay Lohan. Rather than her prodigious talents people spoke of her car crashes, parental issues, alcohol fueled club appearances, rehab stints and ultimately court cases and jail time. Though she continued to act and receive good notices for work in independent features she also had a number of poor box offices showing in major films. Fans of the talented actress hope we have not seen the last of her best work.

Why Fans Are Devoted To Lindsay Lohan

Why are fans devoted to Lindsay Lohan? The reasons for their devotion do not have so much to do with her acting (She was never truly a major star compared to other actresses) as much as her unfortunate and troubled life.

In a way, her fans are devoted to her because they see her as a troubled star reflecting much of the teen angst her audience is known to deal with. To a certain extent, her fans can identify with her as they face their own troubles. Of course, there is a huge disconnect between the serious health and legal issues that Lohan is facing vs. the problems of the average teenager. The slight connect that does exist creates an emotional attachment which, in turn, creates loyalty.

Her fans may also be hoping that she does make a full recovery from her poor lifestyle choices and once again reclaims her life. People do love to hear tales of redemption and success. They might be loyal to her with the hope she will experience such a redemption. Time will tell if this eventually does occur.

Lindsay Lohan certainly has her troubles and she also has her fans. Their loyalty is quite evident and likely will remain.

The Trouble Lindsay Lohan Experienced Throughout Her Career

Lindsay Lohan’s life looks to be on a train that is expected to derail and crash at any moment. Her troubles with the law began conservatively with a traffic accident that resulted in a personal injury lawsuit. It seems as if her troubles have amassed with the speed and expansion of a runaway snowball. So far 2007 seems to have been her worst year in the trouble arena with LiLo accumulating 10 separate incidences, 5 of which involved legal intervention.
How much more are we, the public, expected to take and still not turn away from her? Alcoholism is a disease, yes, but it is a disease that a person pays to get. It seems as if she were sincere in her rehabilitation that she would make a real effort to change her lifestyle. While under house arrest she threw a party. How many non-celebrities would get away with this? NONE.
The death of Amy Winehouse was a tragedy but Lindsay Lohan seems to be on the same track of self-destruction. If her friends and family care so much for her then they need to intervene with actual hands on help. Saying what needs to be done just isn’t enough.Still bored?
